Baffle Ceiling

A baffle ceiling is a modern and visually striking ceiling system designed with vertically suspended panels, known as baffles, which hang down from the ceiling surface in parallel rows. These baffles are spaced at regular intervals to create an open, linear appearance that enhances both aesthetics and acoustic performance. Commonly made from materials such as aluminum, MDF, or acoustic PET felt, baffle ceilings offer flexibility in design through various heights, lengths, colors, and finishes—including powder coating, wood textures, and even custom prints.
Functionally, baffle ceilings are highly effective in controlling sound within a space, as the vertical elements break up sound waves and reduce echo, making them ideal for large open areas like airports, commercial lobbies, corporate offices, auditoriums, and retail spaces. The open structure also allows easy access to mechanical and electrical systems above the ceiling, making maintenance more convenient compared to traditional ceilings. Installed using suspension systems with carriers and clips, baffle ceilings are not only easy to assemble and disassemble but also provide strong structural integrity. Their sleek, contemporary look combined with high acoustic performance makes baffle ceilings a popular choice in modern architectural and interior design.

Technical Details

The baffle ceiling system features vertical rectangular panels with customizable dimensions. Standard baffle sizes range from 100mm to 300mm in height, 20mm to 30mm in width, and lengths up to 6000mm.
Panels are manufactured from:

              • Galvanized Steel (0.45mm / 0.50mm thick)

              • Aluminum Alloy (0.65mm / 0.70mm TCT)

              • Optional: PET felt or MDF for acoustic and decorative use

Baffles are supported by a carrier profile made of 0.5mm thick galvanized steel or aluminum, with a black stove-enameled or powder-coated finish.

 

              • Carrier size: Typically 30–50mm wide and 30–40mm deep

              • Max carrier spacing: 1000mm center-to-center

              • Clip-in or hook-type support brackets for panel alignment and stability

Exposed surfaces are coated with:

              • Polyester powder coating (60–80 microns) for corrosion and UV resistance

              • Rear side treated with epoxy primer

              • Optional finishes:

              • Woodgrain

              • PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride)

              • Anodized aluminum

              • Custom RAL color options

              • Perforation Types:

                • 2.0mm round holes (7mm pitch)

                • Dual perforation (2.0mm + 4.0mm combo)

              • Acoustic Infill:

                • Non-woven acoustic fleece

                • NRC-enhancing PET felt lining
